  • Club program aides can assist in any program and/or administrative areas: administration, accounting, S.T.E.M Courses (Science, Technology, Engineering  & Math),  arts & crafts, homework assistance, the arts (dance & drama), special events planning and coordination of tournaments.
  • Club program volunteers and mentors work with individuals or small groups after school to help members meet academic goals and be positive support during educational programs.
  • Commitment: Mentors are asked to commit to a minimum of 2 hours weekly and will be asked to provide availability for the same time and days each month.
  • Background Check: All VBGCQ volunteers are required to go through a thorough background check in order to qualify for volunteering.
Currently, we need help with the following:
Homework Help
Special Events
Building Beatification Projects
Light clerical work, including help with  a group newsletter
Social Media
S.T.E.M. Courses - Featuring our new state of the art Technology Center.

GROUP OPPORTUNITIES

Group volunteer activities are great opportunities for companies, organizations, clubs, and schools who want to make a difference with our youth and help with a large one-time project or on a continuing basis (requires at least three weeks notice before scheduled date of project). There are many ways you can help - from donating items such as office supplies to electronics, to completing one-time projects such as building beatification or aiding in special events.

Check out our After School Calendar to see what date we will be running our After School program.

INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

The Variety Boys & Girls Club of Queens prides itself on being a community resource for youth philanthropy and civic engagement.  We are also a resource for students who are seeking internships to gain experience in non-profit administrative work and working directly with Club members through developing, planning and implementing youth programs.

If you have time and are willing to help, please email Info@varietyboysandgirlsclub.org or give us a call at (718) - 728 - 0946.
